In this image released by the Texas Military Forces, Joint Task Force 71 leadership meets with the 2nd Chemical Battalion at Fort Hood to share best practices and discuss chemical capabilities. By meeting its active Army counterparts, Joint Task Force 71 builds working relationships with units it might one day work alongside in the event of a natural or chemical incident. This Fort Hood demonstration comes after JTF 71 leadership met with the Marine Corps' chemical biological incident response force the week before and just before hosting the regional homeland response force tabletop exercise in San Antonio.
