Col. Jon "Ty" Thomas, former Altus AFB wing commander and Lisa Greenlee, vice president for academic and student support services at Western Oklahoma State College, unveil a portrait of Greenlee, officially naming her a “Friend of Altus,” at an induction ceremony, Jan. 24, 2012. The "Friends of Altus" was started by Brig. Gen. George N. Williams, 97th Air Mobility Wing commander, in 1995 to recognize community leaders who have provided outstanding effort and support to individuals assigned to Altus AFB. This ceremony brings the total number of individuals who have been named a "Friend of Altus" to 18.
