U.S. Army Gen. Carter Ham, commander, USAFRICOM, visits with Maj. Gen. S.A. Abdurraham, Armed Forces of Liberia commanding officer in charge, during an office visit at Barclay Training Center, Monrovia, Liberia, Jan. 15. Gen. Hamm came to Liberia to receive an update regarding progress within the ranks of the AFL and to meet with senior U.S. and Liberian military leaders in the area who are training the AFL as part of Operation Observant Liberty.
