Medics from Company C, 2nd "Lobo" Battalion, 227th Aviation Regiment, 1st Air Cavalry Brigade, 1st Cavalry Division, along with some ground Soldiers, ready an injured trooper after an improvised explosive device detonated near his vehicle. The medical evacuation crew will often land right in the heart of danger to save the life of service members, civilians and even insurgents, said Reno, Nev., native Lt. Col. Christopher Joslin, commander of 2-227th.
