U.S. Air Force Lt. Gen. David L. Goldfein shakes hands with U.S. Marine Corps Maj. Joel Jowers Dec. 20, 2011, in a yurt during Goldfein’s visit to the Transit Center at Manas, Kyrgyzstan. Goldfein is the U.S. Air Forces Central Command commander, Jowers is the Marine Corps Central Command liaison to the Transit center. A yurt is a traditional nomad's tent made of felt, mats and carpets with a fireplace located in the center and the interior walls are decorated with straw mats.
