Spc. Thomas Sims, a convoy escort team member with the 230th Sustainment Brigade, secures a Tennessee state flag to the top of his mine resistant ambush protected vehicle while preparing for a convoy in Iraq, Dec. 5, 2011. The Tennessee Army National Guard brigade held the responsibility of the sustainment mission from Kuwait into Iraq and in turn was responsible for coordinating convoy allocations, security and movement throughout the country in support of the responsible withdrawal of U.S. forces from Iraq by the end of 2011.
