    Lance Cpl. Mitchell L. Young, a field radio operator with Headquarters Battery, 2nd Battalion, 11th Marine Regiment, contacts his command while on a recent security patrol. The Tampa, Fla., native is serving his first combat tour in Afghanistan and is one of the youngest Marines in his unit. His squad leader, Sgt. Romero Garcia, a Polk City, Fla., native said Young is like a little brother to him.
