Corporal Jose Huitronluna, a Portland, Ore., native and a water purification specialist from 9th Engineer Support Battalion, opens the control panel door for the Tactical Water Purification System. Huitronluna, who recently arrived to the patrol base, is part of a two-man two who replaced the Marines from 7th Engineer Support Battalion who began supporting 3rd Reconnaissance Battalion and 1st Battalion, 6th Marine Regiment. Huitronluna is in charge of operating and maintaining the system, as well as the laundry and shower facilities aboard the patrol base.
