Iraqi children walking to school smile as they pass closely by Paratroopers assigned to the 2nd Brigade, 82nd Airborne Division's A Troop, 1st Squadron, 73rd Cavalry Regiment, pulling security on a main convoy route in Baghdad. The Paratroopers pulled security for other units from the brigade traveling from Camp Ramadi to Kuwait. The troop made several stops along the route to check the area on foot for improvised explosive devices and meet with Iraqi army soldiers at IA checkpoints. The 2nd Brigade is the last brigade in Baghdad and is facilitating the withdrawal of U.S. military forces from Iraq.
