Travis Ihle, Marine Air Traffic Control Mobile Team air traffic controller, 22nd Marine Expeditionary Unit, uses a Kestrel instrument to determine wind speed and a compass to check for wind direction at Chabelley Airfield, Djibouti, Oct. 27. Ihle is originally from Bethlehem, Pa. Ihle collects the data to help pilots land safely.
