    81st Readiness Division

Wearing intoxication simulator goggles, Ms. Laura Steele of the 81st RSC Directorate of Emergency Services, tries to walk a straight line at Fort Jackson, S.C. Assisting is Mr. Jerry Williams of Human Resources. The goggles simulate impairment and show the user the difficulty in functioning while intoxicated. This and other activities were a part of Red Ribbon Week at Fort Jackson, S.C. Red Ribbon Week is the oldest and largest drug prevention program in the nation reaching millions of Americans during the last week of October every year. By wearing red ribbons and participating in community anti-drug events, people pledge to live a drug-free life and pay tribute to murdered DEA Special Agent Enriqué “Kiki” Camarena who was killed in 1985 while undercover in Mexico.
