Adela, a 6-year-old German Shepherd military working dog, searches between mail carts for contraband during a detection training exercise at the Camp Lemonnier, Djibouti, post office, Sept. 13. Adela and her handler, U.S. Navy Petty Officer 3rd Class Joshua Abraham, Camp Lemonnier master-at-arms and military dog handler, are deployed from Naval Air Facility Atsugi, Japan. According to Abraham, Adela likes to chase her nub, as she does not have a tail, is "friendly" and "knows the difference between playing and working."
