Staff Sgt. Mel Penaflorida sings "Unchained Melody" during the Air Mobility Command Icon finals competition Oct. 20, 2011, at Scott Air Force Base, Ill. Penaflorida made it to the finals by winning the base level competition at Joint Base Charleston, S.C. Icon is an AMC commander's initiative to showcase the vocal talents of AMC airmen. Each AMC base holds Icon contests in July and August to determine their representatives for the command final which takes place at Scott AFB.
