NAVAL STATION ROTA, Spain (Sept. 25, 2018) - Left to right, the Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Ross (DDG 71) Command Master Chief Earl Johnson, Cmdr. Bryan Gallo, commanding officer of Ross, Cmdr. David Coles, Capt. Matthew Lehman, Commodore, Destroyer Squadron 60, and Lt. Loren Crone, a chaplain salute the colors during a change of command ceremony aboard the ship at Naval Station Rota, Spain, Sept. 25, 2018. During the ceremony, Coles relieved Gallo as the ship's commanding officer. Ross, forward-deployed to Rota, Spain, is on its seventh patrol in the U.S. 6th Fleet area of operations in support of U.S. national security interests Europe and Africa.
