A convoy of Mine-Resistant Ambush Protected vehicles with the 2nd Squadron, 13th Cavalry Regiment, 4th Advise and Assist Brigade, 1st Armored Division, prepare to continue their mission with a tactical road march Oct. 17, 2011 from Contingency Operating Site Warrior, Iraq. Since August, the “Iron Sabers” squadron has been providing security oversight for the Ghuzlani Warrior Training Center and performing route clearance missions near Mosul to support the Operation New Dawn mission. With the transition of Marez now complete, the squadron will begin to finalize their mission and continue to reposture in accordance with the 2008 Security Agreement.
