Capt. Chuck Melcher, commanding officer of Naval Support Activity, Hampton Roads, presents Ruth Cutter, wife of the late Capt. Slade Cutter, a commemorative photo at the Capt. Slade Cutter Athletic Park Dedication Ceremony in Norfolk as Vice Adm. John M. Richardson, commander of Submarine Forces, and Lt. Michael Signorelli, administrative officer at NSA, look on. Cutter was a U.S. Naval Academy athlete and World War II submariner. He died June 9, 2005 of Parkinson's disease.
