Taylor joins the MEU, after serving as the operations officer of Marine Aircraft Group 36. Coffman served as the commanding officer of the 13th MEU through two sea-based deployments and will report to the Pentagon as the Deputy Director for Operations J-3 (NMCC-3) Joint Staff, Washington D.C. The 13th MEU recently returned from seven-month deployment with Boxer Amphibious Ready Group, which provided support for maritime security operations and theater security cooperation efforts in the U.S. 5th and 7th Fleet areas of responsibility.
