Cpl. Daniel Carter, a native of Temeculah, Calif., and currently assigned to Wounded Warrior Battalion West, Marine Corps Base Hawaii, Kaneohe Bay, Hawaii, checks the teeth of Holly a rescue dog in training with the Hawaii Fi Do, Sept. 23. Every Friday, the Marines from the Wounded Warrior Battalion meet with dogs from Fi Do in order to learn how to train dogs, which in turn translates into a form of therapy for the Marines that are rehabilitating from physical or mental scars as a result of their deployments to Afghanistan.
