As part of the Labor Day activities held on Camp Bondsteel, Kosovo, seven teams entered an international cook off competition. With an afternoon full of preparation and grilling, the multinational groups presented dishes of their native homelands for judges to taste and test. The U.S. team led by Sgt. 1st Class Hogsett won the grand prize with teams from Croatia, Greece, Poland, Romania, Slovenia and two fellow U.S. teams, one from N.M., vying for the highest score. Everyone had the opportunity to sample the fare and cultural exchange. A Romanian dish of fresh figs, carrots and raspberries was placed as part of
the visual appeal of their competition area.
