Sgt. Maj. of the Marine Corps Micheal P. Barrett addresses the Marines of 2nd Marine Aircraft Wing (Forward) at Camp Leatherneck, Afghanistan, Sept. 23. The sergeant major of the Marine Corps visited Marines in Afghanistan with Gen. James F. Amos, the commandant of the Marine Corps, and spoke of the future of the Marine Corps and operations in Afghanistan. Barrett, the sole holder of his rank, is the senior enlisted member of the Marine Corps.
