Team members excavate a site in Kangwon province while a Republic of Korea Army AH-1S "Cobra" flies over conducting training operations. Two recovery teams with approximately 20 people are excavating an aircraft crash site and burial site in the Kangwon province searching for evidence to identify Americans that may have perished during the Korean War. The mission of JPAC is to achieve the fullest possible accounting of all Americans missing as a result of the nation's past conflicts.
