A simulated improvised explosive device within a sedan is destroyed by the Fluid Blade Disablement Tool – also called the Stingray – a device that destroys bombs before they can explode with the use of an ultra-high-pressure water beam, Aug. 25 at Leschi Town, the premier mock village for training on Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Wash., during a scenario that was part of a live-fire EOD exercise on JBLM Aug. 24-26, called Ravens Challenge, that brought together military and civilian bomb techs from across Washington State and even agencies from Portland, Ore., and British Columbia, Canada.
