Petty Officer 1st Class Robert Mowry of Pensacola, Fla., 3rd Medical Deployment Support Command, prepares a simulated casualty to receive an x-ray during a mascal exercise here Aug. 6. The exercise was conducted to hone and test the skills of medical personnel. Mascal exercises require the coordination of the fire department, Emergency Medical Services, and the medical treatment facility. Exercises like these assure that Third Army is ready tonight to sustain the fight with emergency medical services.
