Cpl. Daniel Hall, patient, Wounded Warrior Battalion West - Detachment Hawaii, sits with Shakespeare, a 3-year-old German shepherd and Hawaii Fi-Do dog on July 29, during the third of six sessions at the detachment this year. Since July 15, warriors from the detachment have been working with specially trained dogs from the local nonprofit organization. The organization is conducting a six-week program with the wounded warriors, offering emotional therapy through interaction with specially trained dogs.
