U.S. Marine Corps Capt. Ben Van Zytveld 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit command element explains the MEUs capabilities to Commander, 7th Fleet Vice Adm. Scott Van Buskirk and Australian army dignitaries during a visit to the forward-deployed amphibous dock landing ship USS Germantown. Germantown, commanded by Cmdr. A.D. Hull, is participating with the 31st MEU in exercise Talisman Sabre 2011, a bilateral command post and field training exercise designed to maintain a high level of interoperability between U.S. and Australian forces.
