Royal Australian army Gen. David Hurley, Australian chief of Defence Force, salutes rainbow sideboys upon his arrival aboard the forward-deployed amphibious dock landing ship USS Germantown for a tour of the ship in support of exercise Talisman Sabre 2011. Germantown is underway participating in exercise Talisman Sabre 2011, a bilateral exercise designed to train Australian and U.S. forces in planning and conducting Combined Task Force operations in order to improve U.S./Australian combat readiness and interoperability.
