    Petty Officer 2nd Class Steven Douglas, boatswain's mate, from Clarksville, Tenn., directs the beach offload of landing craft, air cushioned from the USS Germantown during the amphibious landing at Shoalwater Bay Training Area in Queensland, Australia, in support of the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit. The amphibious landing is part of the force on force portion of exercise Talisman Sabre 2011. TS11 is an exercise designed to train U.S. and Australian forces to plan and conduct Combined Task Force operations to improve combat readiness and interoperability on a variety of missions from conventional conflict to peacekeeping and humanitarian assistance efforts.
