Seabees from Naval Mobile Construction Battalion 1 are building a new covered walkway and access ramp for the Wounded Warrior Unit barracks at Kandahar Airfield in southern Afghanistan. The ramp and deck allow wounded soldiers ease of mobility around their compund during their recovery and rehabilitation. NMCB-1 is deployed to Kandahar as part of Task Force Overlord and is responsible for all construction engineering and engineering support in south and southwest Afghanistan.
