Daniel Schumacher, an infantryman from Dubuque, Iowa, with Company A, 1st Battalion, 133rd Infantry Regiment, Task Force Ironman, 2nd Infantry Brigade Combat Team, 34th Infantry Division, TF Red Bulls, leads a group of Soldiers from the town of Gomerai, Afghanistan, back to Combat Outpost Najil, Afghanistan, June 15. It was one of the final patrols of the deployment for Schumacher, who is wrapping up his fourth deployment.
