Approximately 200 soldiers and coalition forces attended an observance day ceremony June 14, 2011 at the International Security Assistance Force Headquarters in Kabul, Afghanistan to celebrate the U.S. Army's 236th birthday. Army Command Sgt. Maj. Marvin L. Hill, the Command Sergeant Major of the ISAF and U.S. Forces-Afghanistan, spoke about past and present history of today's Army and the importance of the annual observance.
