The strength of the south levee of the Dakota Dunes levee system will be tested by the Missouri River as flood waters begin to crawl up the side of the man-made barrier, June 6, 2011. On June 8, service members from the South Dakota Air and Army National Guard will transition from levee construction operations to patrolling the structure in 24 hour shifts for any potential leaks or problems.
