II Marine Expeditionary Force   

COMBAT OUTPOST SHUKVANI, Helmand province, Islamic Republic of Afghanistan - Marines with the Georgian Liaison Team, Regimental Combat Team 8, and soldiers with the Georgian Army’s 33rd Light Infantry Battalion, begin an area patrol, May 28. The GLT Marines provide logistical support as well as guidance to the 33rd Battalion, helping them achieve mission accomplishment while serving in Afghanistan.
