II Marine Expeditionary Force   

Combat Outpost Shukvani, Helmand province, Islamic Republic of Afghanistan - Marines with Regimental Combat Team 8 and 2nd Marine Logistics Group walk with Brig. Gen. Michael Dana, the commanding general of 2nd MLG, and the commanding officer of Georgia’s 33rd Light Infantry Battalion, during Dana’s visit to the combat outpost, May 23. Dana visited to the combat outpost to ensure that the Marines and Georgian soldiers were being properly supported.
“He was out here making sure that they (33rd Battalion) were being supported to the best abilities that his Marines can support them.” said Master Sgt. Andrew Michaelson, the Georgian Liaison Team Chief.
