Capt. Gregory J. Youngberg, a pilot with Marine Light Attack Helicopter Squadron 367, 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing, is the receipient of the Marine Corps Aviation Association Alfred A. Cunningham/Marine Aviator of the Year Award. Youngberg received the award for his contributions as the flight planner for several aircraft during the assault in Marjah, Afghanistan. The Cunningham award is presented in recognition of the most outstanding contribution made to Marine aviation, whether in combat, research and development, weapons employment or to overall Marine aviation, by an individual in Marine aviation.
