Maj. Dana J.H. Pittard, commanding general of Fort Bliss and 1st Armored Division, officially takes command of the division during the 1AD Change of Command ceremony at Fort Bliss Noel Field, May 24. The ceremony officially appoints Pittard the commanding general of Fort Bliss and the 1AD and announces the reflagging of 1AD to U.S. soil after more than 40 years.
