Guantanamo Troop Farewell

Spc. Kelly Gary, a soldier forward deployed to Joint Task Force Guantanamo, jumps off the pier and into the water as her friends on the departing boat pull away at the base ferry landing, April 11. Guantanamo residents practice a long-standing tradition of jumping off the pier and into the ocean sometimes in full military uniform to honor those friends and fellow service members who completed their tours on the Caribbean island.
