U.S. Army Staff Sgt. Charles Copeland displays the newest edition to Kandahar Airfield, an ice cream truck, April 19, 2011. As summer begins in southern Afghanistan, service members continue to look for innovative ways to beat the heat. Copeland is a member of Joint Sustainment Command – Afghanistan comprised of the 184th Expeditionary Sustainment Command, a Mississippi Army National Guard unit headquartered in Laurel, Miss. The unit has been deployed to Afghanistan since early October in support of logistics operations for Operation Enduring Freedom.
