First Lt. Jim Kirchner speaks about how well he was treated by the medics who cared for him when he was injured during his deployment. Kirchner, a Douglasville, Ga. native, came to Joint Base Balad April 28 during a weeklong visit to Iraq as a part of Operation Proper Exit, a program to help wounded warriors get closure.
