An AH-64D Apache helicopter lifts off from Contingency Operating Site Kalsu for a counter indirect-fire mission, April 12. Soldiers of Company B, 1st Battalion, 229th Aviation Regiment, 21st Cavalry Brigade, are supporting the 3rd Armored Cavalry Regiment by providing ground surveillance of areas around Kalsu.
