Ed Eaton, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, St. Paul District hydraulic engineer, observes a river gage on the Souris River near Sawyer, N.D., April 11. Eaton is doing reconnaissance work along the Souris River Basin to determine what the water flows will be within the region. Eaton, and his team, coordinate daily with the National Weather Service, to help the NWS make accurate forecasts for local citizens.
