Marine Corps Sgt. Earl M. Day, a Flight Line Crew Chief with Marine Light Attack Helicopter Squadron (HML/A)-167, test fires the Gun Aircraft Unit (GAU)-17 machine gun in a UH-1N Huey before conducting surveilance in the Al Anbar province of Iraq, March 9. HML/A-167 is deployed as a part of MNF-W in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom in the Al Anbar province of Iraq to develop the Iraqi security forces, facilitate the development of official rule of law through democratic government reforms and continue the development of a market based economy centered on Iraqi reconstruction.
