Maj. Gen. Jon M. Davis, commanding general of the 2nd Marine Aircraft Wing, finishes the 12th annual Cherry Point Half Marathon with a time of 1:47.17 at Sunset Park March 26. Davis has competed in seven marathons, and this was his first half marathon. He took second place in the 50-54 age group. “In races like this everyone motivates each other to keep going,” said Davis, “I do this to better myself. I push others, so they push me.”
