During the training, Peterson, a native of Aurora, Colo., and other Army forward observers partnered with U.S. Air Force joint tactical air controllers, deployed to U.S. Division-North, to practice calling in combat air support assets maintaining perishable skills during their deployment in support of Operation New Dawn.
