Company I's move across Nahr-e Saraj canal boldly challenges insurgent presence in the area and is designed to assist local civilians and disrupt insurgent activities. Elements of 26th Marine Expeditionary Unit deployed to Afghanistan to provide regional security in Helmand province in support of the International Security Assistance Force.
