Students from Pearl Harbor Kai Elementary School prepare to launch homemade rockets at Ford Island as part of their graduation from the STARBASE Atlantis program. The Navy program is in its 16th year of inspiring fifth-graders in science, technology, engineering and math and recently graduated the 100,000th student. There are 15 Navy STARBASE academies in the United States.
