Spc. Severn Kraut, a native of Vancouver, Wash., and Pfc. Cenia Nunez, a native of North Bergen, N.J., with A Company, 1st Battalion, 23rd Stryker Brigade Combat Team, 2nd Infantry Division, search houses and shops in a northern neighborhood in Baghdad during a mission to provide security to Iraqi citizens, Feb. 15. Soldiers from A Co. went from house to house on numerous blocks, searching for possible insurgents, but to also strengthen relationships with locals by showing that they were there to provide security in the neighborhood.
