Members of Naval Mobile Construction Battalion 3 lift a concrete screed in preparation to pour and smooth out concrete for a large building here, in Camp Leatherneck. NMCB 3 is deployed to Southern Afghanistan to support regional commanders with construction and engineering operations. NMCB 3 is part of the Navy Expeditionary Combat Command’s warfighting support elements, providing construction operations and security in support of overseas contingency operations.
