Pfc. James Darlington, 20, an infantryman with 1st Battalion, 325th Airborne Infantry Regiment, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, is awared the Purple Heart by Col. Timothy McAteer, commander, 2BCT, during a ceremony held at Fort Bragg, Dec. 21. Darlington, a Philadelphia, Pa., native, was awarded the Purple Heart for injuries he received during Operation Enduring Freedom in Afghanistan, earlier this year.
