Gen. Kenneth S. Dowd (third from left), commanding general of the 1st Theater Sustainment Command, joins leaders with the 1st Sustainment Brigade and the 469th Combat Sustainment Support Battalion in a ribbon cutting, Dec. 17, to mark the opening of the Camp Buehring, Kuwait, Central Issue Facility. Personnel deploying into the Central Command area can now receive and turn in their military gear at this CIF in Kuwait, thereby eliminating the need to lug heavy duffle bags on planes, through airports and through customs.
