Hundreds gathered to lay wreaths on the tombstones of those who have served our country during the Wreaths Across America ceremony at Fort Jackson National Cemetery Dec. 11. The ceremony was held to remember our veterans who have passed, honor those who are serving and have served and teach our children what it means to serve our country. The ceremony included a memorial presentation, World War II wreath laying, recognition of prisoners of war, those still missing in action and Merchant Marines, a 21-gun salute by a cannon battery and buglers.
